A raft of new appointments
As part of Independent’s continued investment in growth, new appointments have been made across the business, strengthening both the head office and client services teams.

Vicky Dodd will be leading Independent’s Executive Search function. A highly experienced senior level researcher, particularly in HR and Finance, Vicky joins from Ingenium Recruitment where she worked with clients including Deloitte, KPMG, Ernest & Young and BP.
Experienced resourcer Steven Wilding has joined Independent’s Serco team where he is supporting the establishment of a Serco UK recruitment model during a period of significant growth for the company. Previously, Steven held senior resourcing manager roles at Vodafone and through Hyphen, National Grid and Aviva.
Charlotte Tavener has joined Independent’s high profile automotive account as a resourcer. Previously at Hays, Charlotte will be focused on recruitment in the Operations, Finance and Logistics functions.
Jo Carr has been promoted to Resourcing Service Director and is now responsible for service delivery across Independent’s multiple blue-chip clients.
Kate Baker has been appointed Head of Marketing; a timely new post which will be central to building Independent’s brand and business development initiatives. Kate joins from marketing agency, Cognition, where she was Associate Client Director.
Sophie Pollard has also joined the head office team where she is working closely with the Office Manager to provide back office support.
